HR That Gets You Out From Behind the Desk 💙
If you love working with people, solving problems, and being part of the day-to-day action, this may be the HR role for you.
Autism 360 is looking for an energetic, organized, and people-focused Human Resources Manager to join our Matthews, NC center.
This isn't a traditional corporate HR position where you'll spend your entire day behind a desk. You'll be a visible part of the center—supporting employees, welcoming new hires, partnering with leadership, helping navigate employee relations, and making sure the people and operational side of the center runs smoothly.
Your days will have variety. You might interview a candidate, welcome a new employee, coach a team member, partner with Scheduling on an attendance issue, visit a potential in-home client, or help plan an employee appreciation event.
✨ If you're a people person, problem-solver, organizer, and culture-builder rolled into one, we'd love to meet you.
💰 Compensation & Benefits
$47,000–$65,000 annually, based on relevant experience, including years of experience, industry background, and previous roles and responsibilities.

🌟 What You'll Do
As the HR Manager for our Matthews center, you'll be the go-to HR resource for employees and center leadership, balancing employee support with the day-to-day needs of a busy ABA center.
You'll focus on:
Employee Relations & Performance: Build relationships with employees, provide coaching and support, address attendance and performance concerns, facilitate corrective-action conversations, and partner with leadership on more complex employee matters.
Recruiting & Onboarding: Interview candidates, coordinate onsite candidate visits, conduct new-hire orientation, welcome new employees, and help ensure they have the tools, training, and resources they need to get started successfully.
Training & Development: Track new-hire assessments, competency requirements, and training milestones while supporting ongoing employee development and required training.
Center Operations & Safety: Maintain a visible presence throughout the center, identify safety or operational concerns, support incident reporting, coordinate facility needs, and help keep the environment organized, welcoming, and ready for employees and families.
Employee Experience: Help create a positive center culture through communication, employee recognition, appreciation activities, and consistent HR support.
Cross-Functional Support: Partner closely with Clinical Leadership, Recruiting, Scheduling, Intake, and Corporate HR to keep communication flowing and issues moving toward resolution.
The role is intentionally hands-on. The internal responsibilities include supporting attendance and staffing concerns, PTO coordination, incident reporting, onboarding, performance management, and center operations.
🚗 In-Home Client Evaluations
Here's one part of this HR role that's a little different:
You'll also support Autism 360's in-home services by visiting potential clients and families to complete in-home evaluations.
Travel may be up to one hour from the Matthews center, so you'll need a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and comfort traveling independently to family homes.
This is an important part of the position and gives you another opportunity to represent Autism 360 and help create a positive first experience for families.
💙 Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who can connect with people while still providing the structure and accountability a strong HR function requires.
You'll likely thrive here if you:
Have experience in Human Resources, employee relations, people operations, healthcare, behavioral health, or a similar people-focused role
Are approachable, professional, and comfortable having difficult conversations
Can balance empathy with accountability
Are highly organized and able to juggle multiple priorities
Communicate clearly and follow through on commitments
Use good judgment and understand the importance of confidentiality
Take initiative rather than waiting for someone to tell you what needs to be done
Enjoy a fast-moving environment where every day may look a little different
Are comfortable being on your feet, interacting with employees, and maintaining a visible presence throughout the center
Are comfortable driving to potential client homes within the required travel area
